  • GIS Get-Together.Bryce Hirshman from the Information Services Department, City of Lawrence, will talk about how they use GIS for planning and analysis. Let us know if you’re coming so we can plan for the bite to eat. March 6th, 5:30-7:00 pm (Library Room 218)

 

  • MyDropBox – Drop In. Papers due at mid-term?  March 7th,1:00-4:00 & 7:00-9:00 pm (Library Room 218)

 

  • Grant Databases.Terry Manies will demo some of the databases that are available through her office and there will be plenty of time to work through some examples that you’d like to suggest.  March 8th: 3:30-5:00 pm (Library Room 218)

  • Trends in Scholarly Publishing. While many faculty researchers are bothered by the high prices of journals, they rely on those same journals to authenticate their work and to earn them tenure. Join us for lunch in the Private Dining Room and hear about some of the creative solutions that are being explored.

  • Information Literacy Seminar. We’ll be working together to better integrate information literacy into programs, courses, and assignments across the curriculum. In three intensive mornings, we can really get to the meat of information literacy – the librarians look to gain as much as anyone. Please call Kay Bradt (x 390) if you have questions or want to participate.  May 21st-23rd, 9:00 to noon (Library Room 218)
